Re: RD Based Batman RETURNS SUIT
Casting the first Torso tomorrow, we are really close now to seeing this put together ....tieing up loose ends now, we are getting close. I am going to be doing a run of 6 sets to start, likely mounted on the new undersuit I designed with Mary. If interested, start letting me know, the spots usually go quick.

Re: RD Based Batman RETURNS SUIT
How the f**k did I miss this thread? THis is my favourite suit, ever, and I missed this thread? Where have I been?
-Kevin
P.S. Jeff, do you have or know the correct pigment used for the Returns suit? I have it written down at home. Atleast, its what I was told was the pigment used by a dude who worked in the industry. I can get it for you if ya want it.

Re: RD Based Batman RETURNS SUIT
Oh, and are you gonns do it like they did for the film? Mold it, make a plaster copy, sand it smooth and glossy, then remold it? Just curious. I'm really excited about this. I dont know why because I have no hash. But there will be a time and place.

Re: RD Based Batman RETURNS SUIT
The Returns suit is the only one aside from the Begins that looks matte to me.

Re: RD Based Batman RETURNS SUIT
I agree. The RD stuff, from any angle, is a very matte/satin texture and catches light from an angle but not directly/no reflection. I'm excited to see this on a body! Looks really good, Jeff. How big is the waist on the legs?

Re: RD Based Batman RETURNS SUIT
PS Jeff, found that box I owe you. Luckily i had plastic-bagged the item because of water damage to the cardboard. You'll have it after the ride comes back from the shop, I can mail it then. Cheers, bat-brotha.

Re: RD Based Batman RETURNS SUIT
In the dvd/blu-ray doc, Steve wang says they sanded the plaster copy smooth before they remolded it.

Re: RD Based Batman RETURNS SUIT
Ok, 1st pull... I haven't had a chance to take proper pics, but I snapped a couple quick shots for now. Keep in mind the torso is not mounted to the neo undersuit, and the emblem is just sitting in loose for the pics.
I have got the foam backing down pretty good, you wont believe how light and flexible this is either, it holds it shape nice too.
More details to follow soon, legs should be out Sun or Mon.
Hunter: the waist is good up to 38", I can adjust it down to about 30" I figure. Chest is good up to a 46", it's big enough for us bigger guys, but versatile enough to be used for the smaller bats too, I'll just put some extra foam in.
