Re: Inferno Neck question

Yea DONT force the dam thing guys.

The lycra spandex lining is ideal, the plastic bag thing is just sloppy and not so realistic. Ive worked hard to make my suit as comfortable as possible to get on and wear. DEF put a lining in youll love it. If you dont want to glue one in just cut the fabric like i mentioned and hold it inpalce as you put the cowl on. you might have to shift the stuff around a bit after, it might get infront of the face and eyes at first, but just push it back.

My first lining i put in my J beigns cowl. Given how flexable nd soft that cowl is too, its SOOO easy and comfortable to put on and wear. MY inferno bob cowl being a bit stifer is a little more difficutl, but the lining makes it possible.

Do have demonstration pics of that, Indakin? I have an Inferno cowl as well and right now I use water to get the neck over my head. That works pretty well, but a liner might be nice.

Oh, and Kreator, I'd like to see how you removed one of the segments at the front. I think Mr. Justin also did that and I've been wondering what exactly was done there.

I actually never modded mine at all. I didn't want to mess with the neck because it just looks way too cool to change it haha.

Re: Inferno Neck question

I simply trimmed the top "segment" off. In the front, there are those horizontal ridges covering the throat area. I just trimmed along that. (It's not necessary, but I have a sensitive adams apple I guess -- I hate anything pressing on the front of my neck, and when I looked down, it put pressure there which bugs the heck out of me. emoticon )

Also, for wearing my '89 this past weekend, I went ahead and picked up a black compression shirt at Target, trimmed it back into flat fabric, and lined my Reevz '89 cowl. It really is the absolute BEST thing you can do for a cowl. On and off with ease.

Here's a crappy pic, but at least you can kind of see what's going on. I simply used Loctite Super Glue Gel to tack it down around the edges, then left it loose inside. That way it can slide around easily to position it, and after you've worn it all day and it's covered in sweat, just hang the cowl up and let the liner hang loose outside the neck. Works great!

This is looking at it right before pulling it on. Goes right on with no trouble at all.

Well, I was mistaken, Justin. I thought I had read that you did that, but it must have been another post by Kreator.

Now I really want to line my Inferno cowl neck. I'm scared to try because I don't want to mess it up, but I might give it a shot soon.

I think you were thinking of the nose shelf. I'm still thinking about trimming it back just a little bit. Not too much is needed, that cowl fits me almost perfectly! Love it.

Re: Inferno Neck question

If you trim the nose shelf back a little, just be careful. Mine had a bubble in it that wasn't visible until it was too late. I now have a small hole that needs to be filled with Aquaseal or some other type of urethane. I posted a pic of it over at the Brotherhood, but I don't know if you saw it or not. It's hard to describe in words, though, you'd have to see it.

Sorry for the brief hijack.

Hey, that looks like a nice little cowl mod.
