Re: tdk mesh balaclava ?
Forrest doesnt count for two reasons
1. RECASTOR!!!! YOU UNDO ALL GOOD YOU HAVE DONE WITH ONLY ONE BAD CHOICE (although its the biggest bad choice availible in this hobby next to taking money and never shipping product)
2. His suits are not put together well, even if the pieces
are decent, they are not fit well. And his pieces in all the photos have way to many ruff edges for my tastes, and his attempt to replace the pecs with the grey panels was pathetic and all it did was leave bad gaps.
Looks at Keith's which is not even done and because he beat the crap out of himself trying to fit it the best he could it shows. He went thru the trouble to find and make his own undersuit! How many of you have put forth even 10% of that.
For the record, that boat only has three people in it. Keith, Kevin, and Me. Kev worked hard to make the perfect BB/TDK capes, Keith is working to make the best belt ever. Me, well if I mention anything it will ruffle feathers~
Forrest's looks slapped together to me. And you know how freakin critical I am about that kinda stuff. Its the little things that can ruin everything else and keep any piece as only good or great instead of amazing!
Luda doesn't count because Kris to date has not put together a full suit, like every maker out there your the last person on the list to ever get a copy of your own work. If Kris ever had the time and ability to put one together, it would I'm sure be a contender for best in show.
Right now my money is on Keith, he obsesses over it and is only ever doing one suit at a time until he feels it can go no further, and unless your going to challenge
that commitment
DON'T BOTHER
We have to wait and see what Jeff cooks up, but based on him having to many pieces of bat crap to work on, that one might take a while to get finished.
ITS ALL ABOUT THE BAT CRAP BABY!!!!
LOL

Re: tdk mesh balaclava ?
She is going to run a Bataclava (ooh, i dont like that word)... She will determine what she wants for this. Im sure it will be a fair price..
Does everyone want zippers or velcro in the rear?

Re: tdk mesh balaclava ?
Hi Keith , sorry to use this word again but a balaclava doesn't have a joint at the back. They just stretch round your head like a sock. I'm not sure how stretchy your material is? But if you have to make them with a zipper or velcro I would prefer velcro
cheers

Re: tdk mesh balaclava ?
If I had to choose, I'd choose a zipper. Cleaner.
@Hikz- These need a zipper, due to the tight neck armor of the TDK cowl design.

Re: tdk mesh balaclava ?
I need this for my ud tdk suit so I will not be using the neck armour so I would prefer mine to be like a standard balaclava.

If you want to talk about the time in and effort put into these replicas, put your oars down and look up, silent Bob and I are in the yaht beside you and Keith just baled and will be on the 200'er soon. Kev's already up here too bud, your little self proclaimed row boat of effort is looking kinda lonely

Re: tdk mesh balaclava ?
not talking about time and effort, that even on pieces I
think could be better still counts, effort when put forth always shows
buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut
that comment was about making your own under suits
not about making museum grade pieces
the museum grade boat has a bunch of people on it
LOL
not worried if I have to row any boat alone, I can manage, I've got the muscle for it
LMAO
