Re: The Kreator Begins!
Great work Dave!
I'd like to know more about your grapple gun.
Jason.

Re: The Kreator Begins!
I picked up the Grapple Gun from "grapplebats" on Ebay last summer. Took a while to get, but totally worth it. Haven't seen any on Ebay since then though, and not sure if he's a member of the boards or not.
Unfortunately, my damn cat freaked out a few weeks ago, ran behind the TV snagging the lamp cord, yanking a ton of props and stuff down from the display shelves causing the Grapple to separate into several pieces.
Luckily, nothing "broke" and I just need to glue the bits back together and touch up some scuffs.

Re: The Kreator Begins!
About that Jeff, I would recommend to spray the mold with pressurized air before you cast lol. There were a few tiny cat hairs that no adult would have noticed, only kids with keen sight embedded less then a mm. underneath the surface. No problem removing them either, just used my nails, no harm done to the belt either. Flawless as usual Jeff, and no one would have noticed except me lol. Is your cat white?

Re: The Kreator Begins!
About the grappler, I don't think he makes them anymore. I asked him on the RPF last year and didn't get a reply.
FCBD tomorrow!

I don't think you would be able to remove cat hairs embedded in urethane with your nails. They probably got stuck on there after it was cast. Animal hairs have a way of getting stuck in things, ever tried vacuuming a chair/rug with hairs on it and there are a few hairs that just won't vacuum up because they somehow got stuck or "embedded" in the rug?

Thanks for the tip big guy, I usually do that. The belt you have was my first cast from that mold, its possible I did it quick and I did not plan on selling it, that is part of the reason you got it free
Demonbat could be right, if there was a hair in the mold it likely would have got fully embedded and you would not be able to pull it out. Glad you like it though buddy!

Re: The Kreator Begins!
First one from the mold, eh? I feel special! It was just below the surface, where you could see it below the urethane. Not bashing Jeff's work AT ALL, as it was for free, and still is the smoothest item I've ever received. I don't really like cats after en experience when I was 4, but some are great!
