posticon HELP REMOVING SUPERGLUE GEL !!!!!

Hey all....I used some loctite superglue gel to adhere my cape/ cowl rings, and by accident, got some on the outside of my urethane cowl.

I've tried paint thinner, rubbing alcohol...to no avail. scratching it off damages the urethane.....sadly already experienced a bit of that.

Anyone have experience w/ this ?? Any advice ??

you can try an adhesive remover buy your going to run the risk of melting the urethane

Yeah....that's the problem. The only stuff I can think of that's strong enough to remove it, will at the very least change the finish of the urethane, if not melt it all together.

Maybe I'm best off just leaving it as is. In all reality, it's not that bad.

90% rubbing alcohol might do it and shouldn't damage the urethane. Superglue is really hard to get off, a light wet sand might be another way to go.

I might be wrong, but from what ive done with my own urethane, acetone doesn't seem to damage it, and thats pretty much all that will remove superglue, if anything. test on the inside to see if it burrs the surface. but that would be my give.
