I'll vouch for those gauntlets. Best of the best.
If you make them out of a hard material I think you'll definitely need to add a hinge. I suspect cutting the door and adding the hinge has to be done by the end user.
I have a rubber set and have been slacking on getting them finished until the other night. I've been looking for my hot slicing Dremel tool kinda thing for a while with no luck as I thought it would be perfect for slicing open the door. I got tired of looking so just used a utility knife and it worked great. Next I'll put a cloth hinge and velcro closure. Pics to follow.
If you got a rubber set the alternative way to fit them if you canot slide your hand through would be just one slice from the wrist down. You could close it with velcro on the inside if you liked. Just be careful that the slice doesn't keep getting longer over time. That is why I went with the full door.

I have the hard ones. I have been less than motivated over the past-- ohh... 4 months.. one is built, the other is not... and no door in either.. Damn it-- that is what i was going to do today! i was going to build the other.. LMAO..

I have the soft urethane versions and just got around to working on them last Saturday. Trimmed all the fins and sanding smooth then will prime and paint. Also trimmed the rubber so I can slip them on easily without opening the door section. But getting them off is a bit more difficult, but possible - and easier once you're sweaty.
Anyone mounted their resin fins to urethane gaunts yet? I'm debating on whether I need to slice open the slots a bit further, or dig them a bit deeper prior to gluing the fins in. Just worried about popping them off accidentally during an appearance, but also want to be sure they stay lined up perfectly with each other.
