TDK Cowl Replica. My sculpt, mold 2. Pic Heavy

My first silicone mold was Rebound 25, which sucks nuts compared to mold max 30. (rebound has its place) but anyways, i ruined my first mold so it was inevitable to make another from my fiberglass master. finally got around to doing it. been depressed like a madman since my Gf of almost 3 years and i split. (but now i realized i was dumped without knowing it, go figure!) Neon Sentry, i saw you said something like this was going on too? Batbros before ho's is what i always say. Don't get me wrong, im still a mess. i don't think i can stop loving her. anyways, i changed the finish of spray paint to get a much more professional finish and here is the resulting urethane casting (untrimmed and then trimmed). how do you guys like it? Eden, this is what yours will look like when done. Peace out! im going to go mope around some more.

Wow, that is a stunning sculpt and cast bro. you've really done a fantastic job. I have a copy of a real cowl and holding it up to the screen I'm having difficulties telling the difference. Outstanding.

Thats an excellent piece of work bro, you got any pics of someone wearing it? It does look VERY close to the real thing. You should be proud of this. Sorry to hear about the business with the woman, but sometimes these things have to happen. better 3 than 5 eh? Now, before you go out and find yourself another , sit around, get drunk alone, think about the good times, and stare at your creation. emoticon

On a side note, why don't you like Rebound? I hear good things.

Hey bro. thanks! I actually have the front neck piece mold that i sculpted also. i did it seperate because thats how the movie one was made. so that the pieces actually go under the cowl when the hood is worn. and the cowl itself will fit a size 24.5" head best. the neck can be adjustable depnding on how i glue the front neck piece in. i ll get some actuall "finished" pictures up with the front neck piece installed. thanks!

That is just amazing... Litterally has that "car show" quality BD has talked about. I hope someday I'll be able to produce a piece like that!

And what’s ten years? Well, it’s roughly how long it takes to put in ten thousand hours of hard practice. Ten thousand hours is the magic number of greatness.
