Cored pieces generally refers to the process by which the part was made. Rather than sloshing material around an open mold, the material is injected and the core is the base on which the part was sculpted or molded on. This provides form and thickness to the part and ensures a perfect fit. You could also be referring to urethane skinned, foam urethane filled parts by which the process should be similar. In this case, the material is merely changing from the outer skin to the inner base..nondisclosed_email@example.com (Kbillan)Wed, 02 Jan 2013 12:11:14 +0000 ''Cored'' suits, cowls, armor pieces questionhttps://bthecave.runboard.com/p16248,from=rss#post16248https://bthecave.runboard.com/p16248,from=rss#post16248Hey guys Looking for expert opinions here.. I do know the meaning of cored armor pieces but what I don't know is what kind of material they use for the coring process. Is it the same material as the rest of the suit or something entirely else?? My sources are rather limited here so I would likely be using thick foam inserts for my future Panther suit but not sure if that is the right thing to do. Help is appreciated. Thanks guys.nondisclosed_email@example.com (powergyser)Wed, 02 Jan 2013 01:43:50 +0000
