First off.. refrain from talking $--- about the owner of the board. Next time will result in action. If you have a problem with shipping charges, talk to him privately.

Second.. as Jay said.. the color.. it's black. The only reason these suits appear grey at times is because they are matte. If you compare gloss black to matte black, the gloss will look more black every time. This doesn mean the matte is gray. This is why I took TDK into my own hands.

verrrrryyyyyy satin/matte

its an increasingly deep intense color which is hard to replicate and why no one out there has a Begins/TDK suit that looks as accurate as possible

the suits also vary from shot to shot a lot based on heavy lighting and the materials they were made from....a real !@#$ with anything on screen

buuuuuut if you tint correctly, you'll end up with a true black, and I of course will never suggest SO Black because its green based. There are other makers of black urethane tint and you'll want to look into those for the best chance of getting your blacks true instead of faded....

and the fade comes on fast when you expose the pieces to light, so even if you think you have a piece blacked, well give it a month and check again, because if you didn't tint to the maximum, well that black is going to fade off into another of the colors that actually makes up black~

SO makes some great Red tints, but black they just don't seem to have a tight enough grip on

Well I have to say that if Batpiriss is a man she has one hell of a rack! LOL I met her and about four others at the SDCC a year or so ago when they were working with Museum Replicas and had the AA suit out. They were nice and Lisa didnt look anything like a man. Theres also videos of them on the web from an interview with MTV. Thats where I first saw it. You wouldnt think it would be that confusing with google and everything. I'm on my third trade which has taken a little longer then the first two but its the end of the year. As long as they email me back I'm ok.

I'll email them this thread incase they want to chime in and post some pics of my new pieces they look crazy awesome.

That's funny you say talk in private keith. I did email jeff and MRX about the issues of the cowl being to hard to put on and also about the over pricing of shipping I got back from jeff was your deal was with MRX take it up with him no it wasn't it was with Jeff I sent payment to him not MRX some didn't get what I ordered.

Take what ever action you want to be honest I don't give a !@#$.

It's funny I'm surprised jeff hasn't pop back on here to edit or delet like he did with the last thread that was started about him not delivering or unhappy members

Jeff is busy with life, so for the time being this is the United States of kbillan and Im not tolerating any public airing of deal related nonsense. You want to start a thread and talk about where he is, fine. just leave details about the deal out as he is not around to defend himself.

I don't know what your deal was, I don't care. I had dealings with MRX years ago and got what I wanted. Jeff and I have had solid dealings.

You claim he over charged on shipping. To that I say: you agreed to the shipping price before you paid. Doesn't matter if he paid $1.00 for it. It was reasonable to you when you paid. I recently found out I get a HUGE discount by shipping through my works loading dock.. so my feelings on this, at least with ebay lately, it doesn't change my pricing on shipping. Just because I get the discount, doesn't mean you do. Consider the rest handling.

PhantomW, I don't know you so I don't know if your not just a puppet of a real member, so others will have to chime in on that, and your welcome to email them this thread but I doubt they will come to comment as they don't have a leg to stand on

I do know personally that Batpris has made up all kinds of BS from them having their own brand of rubber, waiting for leather, post office lost a shipment, etc.etc.etc. to 1001 other embellished little stories and since there are plenty of people waiting for their items from them for months to years, even if they aren't X himself, the similarities between them make them very very unwanted on any board, and thanks to bad deals on the BOTB even they saw fit to ban "her" for bad deals and recasting

sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

regardless if they are different people or not, that kind of business practice is unwelcome here or anywhere else and I'll keep my fingers crossed for those that bought from them that they don't get screwed over.

That Jeff made the mistake of involving himself with X is old news and he was well warned about X's past dealings and ability to delay delay delay delay delay, and yet he went ahead anyways because of his own reasons, same as he did when he got involved with Bob despite being warned as well.

Maybe Inferno likes to hope for the best in people.
After years of seeing brothers get screwed, and a little of that even for me, well my ability to see the good in people is long gone.

So, as always, if you have a deal with anyone, stay on them like white on rice to come thru on things for you, accept no excuses short of "he's dead" as a reason for display, and even then death shouldn't stop you from getting a refund now should it.

Business is business and most guys on the board couldn't successfully run a lemonade stand!

yes I'm painting with a very very wide brush because even I the great and wonderful jay am absolutely horrible with lead times! but I will always come thru and you won't pay me up front cause if I die tomorrow, I don't need my loved ones having to refund anyone while they wipe away a niagra's worth of tears over their loss, the worlds loss crushes their spirits, hopes and dreams.

LOL,

hell it was even really hard to type that last sentence without laughing, cause despite what so many may think even I don't think I'm that important.

LOL

Anyways..... weren't we talking about something else??
Like maybe that the maya are complete morrons who couldn't keep from wiping themselves out and making a crappy calendar, or the idiots that don't know how to read it or flip it over a big rock page to the next year to see that yes, civilization as we know it will continue.

So unless the world ends today, I pretty much never want to hear about the maya ever again in my lifetime, and if the world does end today, guess it just proves that NorthAmerica really was the center of the earth~

Weird huh

yes, but you agreed to 125. There is also handling when shipping is considered. I don't know what your time, gas and shipping materials cost but these are also to be considered. So Courier took 49.00 of the shipping cost. What of it? Did he say he charged actual shipping charges? Did he say he would refund overages? Best advice for you is to make clearer arrangements in the future.

Jeff said in email to me that shipping was 125 that was the full cost. He lied it cost 49. 75 for a box and gas is way to much what Evers said you will agree with jeff anyone else you would would jump on as you have

End of the day he over charged by 75 and the cowl wasn't made by him as was stated and was more of a hard copy that useable cowl. When asking for replacement I was told I would need to pay shipping back plus a other 125 for shipping the cowl to me. Does that sound fair no but you will agree with jeff as you aways do nothing new there.

Re: Looking for Infrno

no its not fair, but it is what it is, when it was time to replace, it absolutely 110% should have been sent directly to you from X, but Jeff is always trying to create the curtain effect of who he's working with, was exactly the same thing when he had E working on his sculpts as though some of us wouldn't recognize the clay skills of another

(by the way just so you know, sculpting skills are like fingerprints, fighting styles, or hell for a base level .... a cool hip hop walk! you don't need to see someones face from a mile away to know who it is because you recognize instantly the tell tale signs of another. I can pickout who did what props in a film pretty damn well at this point in my life because I've seen those same fingerprints on other things and every single time theres a tell as to who did what)

that said, jeff charged you so much because X shipped it to him from the US and that ran about 45 plus import tax minimum because canada and the US are stupid and then he shipped it to you for another 50.00 so that's 100 so in all he only made 25.00 for his time... not to bad when you think of it from a % standpoint

SOP in business is you buy it from someone (in this case X) who put their markup on things, then they sell it to someone else (in this case inferno) and that sale includes a markup when its sold to you the consumer

X was doing the exact same thing with Frederic Bouvet and the panther cowls, claimed it fit a 22-24" head and it wouldn't fit 20" because X is an idiot and Frederci is one as well for taking X's word on something as critical as sizing, But yet I paid for shipping as though it came from Fred overseas when it came from just North of me in California... and when I shipped it back and got a refund I had to ship it to Germany

sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

in short, crap happens, why be bitter, move on and be a little bit smarter in your next deals with absolutely everyone because this lesson only cost you about 50.00 and a medium sized headache

or you can take solace in that your here, your working on some cool projects and doing your proper research, and inferno is off sucking his thumb over what the hobby has become thanks to 3D printing and the lust for selling crap instead of quality

( I need a gif of doctor evil saying "boo Freakedy whoo")

so I'd say sweep it under the rug buddy~

in the mean time I just educated, insulted, berated and commending all in one freaking post

ITS BEEN A GOOD SUNDAY I THINK!

NEEEEEEEEEXT THREAD PLEASE~~!@!
