Re: Halloween Fun in my Hell's Kitchen TDK
Actually,Jerry might be better suited to wear the V2.1 belt which was a fraction bigger than RD...
My only gripe with the kris parts is that they are not matte. and more of a satin. I Feel strongly that they should be matte. This is what I have attempted and hopefully the next suit can be on par with Jerry's..
Again, Bravo.

Re: Halloween Fun in my Hell's Kitchen TDK
You gotta lop that face off and get the cowl up and the sleeve liner fixed. And ofcourse the boots~
Then thanks to your physic you'll have more of a Dark Knight Returns version of the TDK suit.
Spread the word CAPE DOWN GLOVES TUCKED IN!
Something that could always be done if you want a stronger base to glue down to, is after you get the foam and tape exactly the way you want and need it to be, brush it with fiberglass resin and then brush stipple one layer of glass cloth
since you don't need structural support its soooooo much stronger than you'll need for costume and prop work.
Also, remember your form always needs to be 1/4-1/2 smaller than your actual wearers form so that its as snug as possible when worn to compensate for material give. Tight and nearly uncomfortable is how all batsuits especially need to fit in order to look their best. SInce you'll never wear it more than 8 hours in a day you can suffer a little in order to look your best.. LOL women do that all the time with shoes so we can do it in a full suit I'm sure.
--- And what’s ten years? Well, it’s roughly how long it takes to put in ten thousand hours of hard practice. Ten thousand hours is the magic number of greatness.

Re: Halloween Fun in my Hell's Kitchen TDK
Jay I haven't added the last touches yet because I'm wearing it again tonight but once Halloween is over the liner's going in and it will have a Bale mask in the cowl and be displayed correctly.

Re: Halloween Fun in my Hell's Kitchen TDK
Yes it's the urethane suit. I used Superglue at the edges, then used silicone windshield adhesive on the inside. This is what Kris uses, although he mentioned an Australian brand. Jay recommended Loctite Flexible Adhesive, but I had already done it with the black silicone adhesive before his advice.

Re: Halloween Fun in my Hell's Kitchen TDK
How did It wear? Did you have any issues with parts breaking loose? Did you put any major stress on the suit? sitting?
I wore my deal from 7am to about 9pm last night.. it took some abuse getting in and out of cars.. sitting.. walking a lot.. my body hurts.. I can't imagine the suit feels any better.
My next build has to be "it" and I am intrigued with this adhesive..

Re: Halloween Fun in my Hell's Kitchen TDK
I've worn it twice now, from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Parts have come loose only along edges in the crotch area and at knee joints from squeezing in and out of my car driving and a little around the flanks peeling the thing off at the end of the nights but nothing major and very easy to mend cleanly. It's going to happen. I don't think there's a way to permanently attach the parts without them coming a little loose at the stress points unless you sew them on. But I was pleasantly surprised looking in the mirror when I got home and expecting to see a bunch of parts loose yet having to actually search for what needed touching up. I think if I hadn't had to squeeze in and out of a car to drive to my parties and just walked and sat in it where I could stretch, nothing would have come loose. I am sore from wearing it afterward but now while wearing it. Once I was in it it was cool how good it felt form fitting as it did and looking the way it should. I do want to find the right kind of fastener though to keep the cape in, my biggest problem both nights were drunken assholes following me around stepping on my cape train and it pulled the cape out a couple of times. I'd also like to arm myself with a taser next time to zap all the jerks who insist on punching the pec armor when they approach me thinking it's acceptable behavior to practically assault me in their entitlement seeing if the armor is solid. I've brought my arm up several times very fast catching them and telling them to cool it, it's an expensive suit. One whistle ass had a plumber's plunger and was poking me with it, I was worried he was scratching the urethane or the carbon fiber inserts and it took everything in me not to clock him after the third time I told him to stop.
Here it is mended from last night where it's going to reside from now on. I'm glad you like how it turned out.
