bought ud dark knight rises gear now need cape and better cowl
ok so i been looking for years for a good batman costume and when seen dark knight i knew it was the one for me since it based off moveable armor like dirt bike gear. then low and behold watching mythbusters and adam rolls up wearing a batman motorcycle jacket. After some research i found out that it was ud replicas and had to have it. As i am sure you all are aware this is minus cape and cowl. i bought a fairly good cowl off ebay but it really is a begins cowl not dark knight. i figure i can wear it under jacket for now and worry about the cape at this time. So i found this site last night and the botb as well and lets say it was a late night. So i was looking and it looks like the ink cape is the way to go but i can not get into the trade section even though i did post "i accept" in the tread and it said i would be able to. So how long before i can? Also if there are other options i should be aware of. i dont need it to be 100% screen accurate but i want a nice cape that looks great and funtions well. I have seem some are using magnets while other use velcro to attach the cape to the jacket. I am not gonna cut the jacket but i wil take to a taylor if need be to get cape set up correct. i was thinking having magnets sewn into little pockets or something like that. i want it to be a removeable piece though so magnets sound like great way to me so can pull cape off for driving or if end up getting the backpack . since i dont have a costume yet i will leave you with pics of my batmobile .....i will have to have a tumbler at some point of course :batty:

Welcome.
Nice Vette. As far as the cape goes if you have a bit of skill with a sewing machine you can use a number of fabrics that look pretty close to the material used for the Begins and TDK cape. One option that has worked for some and actually looks pretty good is shower curtains. I think they found the shower curtains at Wal Mart but the material they were made from looked very passable for the cape.
As far as access to the trade section it can take a while to get in there. It has to be cleared by one of the admins I believe. The other option is to check Ebay. Sometimes the inkmonkey capes show up on there.

i have been watching ebay last week or two but didnt see anything that was what i wanted. a pleather ne for example that be good for a M. keaton suit. well i hope they hurry and appove it lol now i seen lots of things i want lol

yeah you def. need a new cowl. keep your eye out on ebay for a tdk cowl to match your suit.
