Batman - The really real deal!
I thought it was about time I shared some significant pieces from my collection. It's taken a number of years to acquire these bits and bobs, but worth it.
First up are some production made foam latex armour pieces from Batman 1989. They consist of legs, calf and forearm armour.
Next is currently the pride of my collection. This is a screenused stunt suit from Batman Returns. It was worn by Michael Cassidy for the Batmobile driving scenes and is mounted of a poseable foam bodycast of Michael Keaton.
It's worth mentioning that whilst I love this piece, I'd give it up in a heart beat if it meant securing something significant from the first Batman film, which to this day is still my favourite. So if anyone out there has any leads, please bear me in mind.
Alternatively, I'd give up the above Batman costume pieces for pieces that would allow me to complete the Returns display, since I know there are some screen used capes and gloves out there.
If anyone has, or knows anyone who has any of these pieces, I'd love to chat to you. I'm also on the look out for '89 joker items (props like Smilex products would be cool).

Hope you enjoy these pics guys.

Re: Batman - The really real deal!
I am confused.I always thought foam latex started to be used in Batman Returns. So was the 89 suit foam latex or a rubber latex???

Re: Batman - The really real deal!
I did not know that.Wow. So the 89 suit that keaton wore was infact made out of foam latex? The reason why I ask is because I watched a documentary on the making and they say its ruber latex and thats what I always thought.I guess I have been out of this game for awhile.

Re: Batman - The really real deal!
Remember that '89 was all shot in London with a predominantly British crew. Rubber Latex is Foam Latex.
