Re: The cape for Begins and Dark Knight.

i go with this guy on ebay von lancelot. and he has made me 2 capes. one of mole skin and the other a velvet looking fabric. they both flair at the bottom and the circumference is gigantic. length is good as well. he sells alot of cloaks on ebay. but hes a master at tweaking things. im surprised alot more brothers havent jumped on his bandwagon. ive told him to come here to trade his wares, but he does ridiculous business on the bay constantly. take it from me guys this guy makes these for a living its all he does. everythings triple stitched. and durable as hell, machine washable also. i was very happy to work with him and hopefully some of you can too.

If you are looking for a more budget solution please don't wait for Ink. emoticon
I am finding out that custom fabrics are expensive. But I am going to try and throw in a cool bonus or 2 to make it an outstanding value.

Kev,
You've been offering some awesomely accurate pieces, and my opinion is not to go budget if you can help [sign in to see URL] your pennys, sell of a couple of older pieces you don't need any longer...
AND, WAIT FOR THE INK! emoticon

Re: The cape for Begins and Dark Knight.

I've found it's difficult to budget when trying to put together the most authentic looking movie costume. Sometimes you just gotto splurge to get the right look.

The cape is one of the most essential parts to completing the look of the begins or TDk suits. If you cut too many corners with that, it throws the whole look of the suit out.

Can't wait to see how your cape turns out Kevin. I think it's going to blow us away, just as your begins gloves did.

I try to do stuff that nobody has taken on yet - like the Begins gloves. We've seen lots of capes but I've always thought I could increase the level of authenticity. These capes will be bang on or I won't make them available.
