Re: JV's (early production) 89 Gloves and Fred B's 89 gloves - large pics

I have to say that jerrys gloves are great as he did not have all these pics back then and went off what he had.
Now that these pics are in his hands I see no problem getting them as accurate as possible. There isn't too much that needs to be changed in my opinion as his glove quality is amazing. Sure the fingers need to come down abit and a small size would be great for all of us. The top ribbing could easily be changed from being straight to angled higher to the fingers. My RD fins fit perfect in his gloves therefore that should not got messed with at all. As for the forearm armor we all know pj offers that in RD so I think if Jerry is up to change his pattern he will have the closest we are gonna get to screen accurate gloves apart from owning the real deal.
As for getting enough people to start production I know that will not be a problem as I speak for alot of us here by saying we are in for it so I guess it's all up to Jerry now and I really hope that he is willing to do this for us and if he does then thankyou very much for bringing us that one step closer to owning RD gloves.

I second what Batwog said. RD fins DID fit perfectly in the Medium 89 gloves I once owned of yours. And personally, I liked the length of them. And your wrist size woud have been perfect with just the right amount of elastic. So thats another thing you dont have to really touch .I do think they should be double padded tho. I bought the same kind of foam used in your gloves and made a forearm sized piece I'd slip on before I'd put on your gloves when wearing my suit. It gives em a stiffer more firm look.

Looking at the RD gloves, it appears to be comfy as hell. the leather looked to be a bit softer. just my observation, unless anyone has tried them on could contest to that.

so i'd recommend a softer leather, the ones i own are soft on the forearm but the hand area itself is stiffer. i'd like the length of the forearms to be shorter too. or better yet match the overall length of the real deals.

if Jerry can update the gloves with new modifications I'll def. be in on another set. and yes i'd like the gloves to fit my hand pretty tight but comfortable so a small would be best for me.

Consider this project as well as upgrading my Returns patterns started.

all I can say in dissapointment with JV's is the fins

man o man do you need to switch to the real deal fins
instead of your oversized ones

other than that, everyone is really close and really off in one aspect of another and the biggest one is not having the
elastic in the wrist to drawn in and give that great look

if you truelly intend to make revisions to yours, I would worry that UD would somehow benefit from that being the wankers that they are~

And what’s ten years? Well, it’s roughly how long it takes to put in ten thousand hours of hard practice. Ten thousand hours is the magic number of greatness.
