Hangr's intro and a few projects (Heavy Pics)

Hello fellow Bats....

I'm Cliff "Hangr" and figured it was time to introduce myself and give you a sneek peak at my first attempt at a Batman costume.

I've been around this forum from the start and I am rather new to the BOTB, but after dealing with Jeff and hanging out here in the shadows I feel much more at home in the Cave.

Thanks Jeff for such a great Forum!

First of all I'm not new to costuming, started in 2007 with a Ghostbuster's costume and in 2008 upped my skillz with Hellboy...

So I decided to go all out and design my own Batman costume to end all other costumes for me.

First - Infrno Cowl
What can I say but AWESOME!

Second - custom Utility Belt
cell case under the bat buckle will hold my batarangs plus each compartment opens and will be stuffed full of bat related props!!

Third - My own personal Bat Gauntlets
Using a template I found on the other forum I first made a paper template and then a PVC template. Today I just cut my first Aluminum gauntlet sleeve...just gotta finish rounding it, adding details, buckles to hold it closed, and fins.

Fourth - A cool Prop ==> Bat Ninja Bombs
easy to make and loads of fun...not to mention pretty safe too. WARNING...The gel caps do fly apart and the pop rocks also travel when thrown to the ground ...offers a great distraction(Never throw these at someone...just at the ground!)

Simply and gently separate the Pop-it rocks from the paper and load them into the gel caps....GENTLY or it could go off in your hand...makes ya jump when ya don't expect it..I ended up breaking 2 more

I have so much more to do as I am also making my own batarangs and my own armor.

This is just a teaser post and one of these not so busy weekends once the entire costume is done, I'll post a few tutorials on how I did things.

Thanks to everyone and I look forward to contributing more in the future!

I should add...
one pop-its pack of 50pcs only fills about 8 gelcaps

Popits can be bought at Walmart - $2 bucks for a large box of 200pcs and most health food stores carry the gel caps, i forget the price but pretty cheap.
I used the "000" size...I believe that's the biggest they come.

have fun!!!
