Spankin' New INFERNO Begins suit!!!

Just got my Inferno V3 begins suit yesterday and spent the better part of today trying to get this set up. Here's what i got:

~RD Cowl (Inferno)
~V3 armor (inferno)
~RD Gauntlets (Inferno)
~Utility Belt (KBillan)
~Cape & Clips (Inkmonkey)

Unfortunately, i couldn't picture the cape.. ran into a few problems, and any suggestions would be welcome. Couldnt get the cowl to stay on without tumbling off a few seconds later. I'm going to try some industrial strength velcro. As for the cape, i'm trying to justify drilling holes into the armor to mount the cape clips and cape but not 100% sure what size bit to use or do it without F-ing it up. Enjoy the pics. again, any suggestions to make this better are welcome! sorry for the crummy pics... a photographer i am not emoticon

Lastly, a HUGE thanks to Jeff. Your hard work and dedication to this hobby allow guys like me to enjoy this amazing suit!!!

Do not drill!! Those holes need to be punched.

If you need the punch go to harbor freight, if you need
correct cape clip hardware, email as I have a set or two left.

And for the love of god get rid of that POS backpack strap and use the proper tension chords~ Put a hook in the cod, and put a hook in the zipper bottom, and use a double loop system to keep things in place.

If you want the cowl to looks its best, suggest PROSAid'ing the facecast into the cowl so that they look seamless, but first I could suggest that the facecast be sprayed with the flattest black possible, you want the face to show, but not have any prominent details to draw away from the cowl, which is why you might think to cover it in black hosier or felt like they did for the London Museum display which to date is the best looking full suit display out there

get your cape on and you'll be right in line with that
especially since you gave him his own corner to stand in, so you can drap the cape out around his feet and it will look intense!

Thanks guys! of course, i will put updates and pics up as i go... just got some velcro for the cowl, and some rings to attach to the cowl for the cape clips.

To Resin - What is "PROSAid'ing"?? is it some kind of bondo? as for the face cast, i used a matte black spray paint... it looks shiny i think because of the camera flash. in person, it looks sick as hell!!

Its a medical prosthetic adhesive. used in SFX to glue down various fx appliances to the actor, or in this case the cowl to your face cast. its easily removable

two questions.. is there a substitute for Pros aide that i can get at a CVS or something? seems kind of silly to pay 6 bucks plus shipping from an FX supplier for something i'll only use once or twice.

the other thing is the holes for the cape clips:

POWERGYSER: i'll see if i can get my hands on a soldering iron. as of right now, the newest pics show the cape and cape clips attached only to the rings on my cowl.

there is no substitute for PROSAID

but if you want to try eyelash glue, it might work
but that depends on how much stress is on the piece to fit
as eyelash glue is not designed to do what prosaid does

and that can be found at CVS

the camera right side waist line needs about 3/4" padding to balance out the stance and look of the suit, then it should pretty much be as good as you can get it
