My Yellow Utility Belt (almost finished pics)
This year I decided to go with more of a comic style costume...gray and black with the yellow belt. So I set out to find all the right components to give it the look and feel I wanted, after all I like things look good and be fully functional.
The Work List:
(1) Standard web duty belt with plastic buckle (black)
(1) Custom Arkham Asylum Buckle (black)
(4) Compact Faux Leather Camera cases (black)
(6) CPVC Reapir Couplers (standard cream color)
(1) Cell phone pouch - vertical (black)
(1) Cell phone case - horizontal (black)
(4) Spray Cans of Yellow Plasti-Dip
(10) #8-32 x 1/2inch machine screws/nuts
(12) 5/8 plastic hole plugs (black)
First off if you try this be sure to remove any frayed threads from the face of the web belt or they will stand out when painted. Secondly, the web belt soaks up the first coat so give it a once over and wait...don't second coat it until the first one dries and seals the cotton. Other wise you'll waste a lot of plasti-dip. Its all pretty simple after that. Remove the coupler caps and glue in the hole plugs. Tape off anything you dont want covered with plasti-dip (velcro closures, pipe threads, etc.) then drill(the hols shouls be just small enough for the machine screw to thread into it and hold without a nut) the mount holes in back of the cpvc couplers and the resin belt buckle. Start painting the plasti-dip one coat at a time letting each coat dry until it looks solid. I mounted the buckle in the center of the belt (4 holes) and then one Coupler...now a bat capsule...to each side by placing a screw through the back side of the belt through the existing holes. Next using the belt loop, slip a camera case...now a bat pouch...on each side placing it right next to the capsule. Repeat capsule and pouch install until all 4 pouches and 6 capsules are mounted and secure. The capsules will keep the pouches in place. Then I added a cell pouch and a cell case for obvious reasons to the one side, leaving the other space empty for my bat grapple gun(still working on it). Lastly I will be securing the original plastic quick connect buckle in place with another set of screws and nuts once I properly size it.(this will be the only 2 nuts used). The quick connect buckle will actually be to my back when worn so the Arkham buckle faces forward.
I hope everyone likes it, I know I am very pleased with how it turned out. Like I said before looks and function...
Thanks for looking...
(In the pics I placed the belt on the back of my dark brown leather couch so it would really stand out)

Re: My Yellow Utility Belt (almost finished pics)
Looks great and as you're not focused on a specific version there are no authenticity problems ;-)
Like that you can be completely independent...i really like how it turned out.
Ps.: Nice couch :-)
